Art Requirements

Electronic Artwork
We recommend all files be sent via e-mail or disk. Please make sure that you include your companies name and P.O. number with all e-mailed artwork.
Customers will be held responsible for any charges (see below) incurred to to resolve problem if the digital file is not received in a usage format. Large file sizes can be sent via our FTP site. Contact Customer Service for more information.
Acceptible File Types:
-Illustrator 10.0 (preferred)
-ZIP (compression file)
Acceptible Image Types:
-Vectorized
-EPS
PDF files are acceptable if originally created in Illustrator as vector artwork.
Acceptable Disk Media:
Disk or File MUST be PC-compatible
-CD ROM -25/100 MB zip cartridges
-3.5" floppy -USB Flash Drives
Art Charges: $40.00(Z) minimum per hour.
-Art charges will apply if requirements are NOT met and any necessary alterations are involved in order to meet production standards. WE DO NOT ACCEPT FAXED ART!
-Full design service capabilities are available from our in house graphics department.
Typesetting: $10.00 (Z) minumum.
-Orders with more than six lines of copy will be billed as needed $40.00 (Z) per hour. Font Style must be indicated or art department will choose most suitable font for item or event.
Camera-Ready Artwork
Pro Towel Etc. will accept camera ready artwork that is already separated or that includes black line work (or key line) to separate each color.
"Camera ready" art should be clean, black and crisp on a smooth white background that requires little or no touch-up.
PMS Color Matching
We make every effort to match your color swatch or PMS ink specifications without adding an extra charge. If an absolute exact match is required, please add $10.00 (Z). Please note that Metallic Ink is not recommended on towel.
4 Color Process
Submit Artwork to be reviewed and quoted. Note: Some jobs may require additional spot colors to ensure quality product and good ink coverage. A minimum of 300 beach towels. Art and film preparation charges $400.00 (Z) plus screen charges for a minimum of 4 screens.
Printed Artwork Specs
-Minimum Type Size: 15 pt. on all terry velour products.
-Minimum Line Weight: 2 pt on all terry velour products.
-Halftones: Due to the nature of towel fabrics: Artwork that contains large areas of color (such as lettering) along with halftones will usually require separate screen for optimum coverage.
-Avoid art with straight lines or borders that follow towel edges. (Border Options are available.)
-A detailed Border Disclaimer is provided and must be signed before production begins.
-Make use of as much of the maximum imprint area as possible.
-Avoid thin lines and condensed lettering.
Proofs
A layout will either be faxed or e-mailed to you. All proofs must be approved by the customer and faxed or e-mailed back without delay. Two paper proofs will be provided free of charge. Additional proofs will cost $5.00 (Z).
Fax proof are available upon request for $6.00 (Z). Delays on proof approval will increase production time.
Embroidery Artwork Specs
Acceptable Digitized File Type: Tajima formatted files.
Acceptable Image Types: .EPS, .JPEG, .TIFF
Call for other acceptable formats. A digitizing fee will apply. Thread colors can be matched to Pantone colors if needed. To edit a digitized file, there will be a $25.88 (W) charge.
-All tapes/file MUST include thread colors and sequence.
-We reserve the right to manipulate files to better accommodate production capabilities (edit typeface sizes, line weights, etc.)
-Lettering no smaller than 5mm is recommended.
-Digitizing charges are as follows: $85.00 (W) for digitizing fee. Catalog pricing includes up to 8000 stitches, each additional 1000 stitches over the first 8000 stitches is $0.21 (W).
